Had an opportunity to dine at 3 Elephants for a family night out. The food was really great in taste and portions with an authentic South Tamilnadu taste on Chettinad chicken curry, Parrota, soft Idli’s and Ghee dosai which were amazing and delicious. I liked the taste of sambar and red chutney. We were greeted by their friendly staff with a complimentary mutton soup which had wonderful flavour and aroma. On starters I would recommend trying curry leaves chicken which got a real kick to your taste buds There are plenty of vegetarian options available to try on as well but I chose to go with meat ones Lastly guaranteed, you will feel home with the ambience and wonderful staffs around

We recently visited 3 Elephants with friends, and it turned out to be a pleasant experience overall! The service was excellent, with staff being attentive and polite. The food was alright—not extraordinary, but decent enough to enjoy. The ambience, however, stood out—cozy and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends. One thing to note is that it was a bit tricky to find, but once we parked behind the building, we entered through the back gate. If you are entering from front use that name Newcastle Jesmond Hotel on the road. Despite that minor difficulty, we had a lovely time and are looking forward to visiting again!

All the Starters were excellent especially chicken 65, Curry Leaf chicken, Mutton Chukka, Idly Fry, Sambar vada etc... The mains like Kothu paratha, Naan, Dosa, Butter chicken curry, Chettinadu chicken curry etc were very nice. Would definitely visit again for an Authentic South indian Food.

Easily the best south-indian and Tamil food in Newcastle. We went to this place without making a reservation and hence faced some delays in the service, but that's a minor mishap in what was actually a wonderful dinner. Most of the dishes were as authentic as it gets , special mentions to House special fish curry and Kumbakonam special meat balls, which is basically a improved version of Kola urundai that you get in Tamil Nadu. Biryani was too good, a proper thalappakatti style biryani and the fried rice and kothu parottas were excellent as well. The staff were very kind and friendly and the owner spent some time with us and apologised for the delay and even offered a complimentary ice cream to all of us. If not for the delay in service, this was one of the best food experiences in Newcastle. For someone who misses Tamil Nadu style food, this place is a must visit. Absolute value for money, a definite winner

This restaurant truly lives up to the accolades of authentic Indian flavors and easily surpasses expectations. We visited for dinner and were delighted with the delicious, genuine South Indian dishes. The menu offers a variety of starters and main courses, and I highly recommend the Curry Leaf Chicken and Kumbakonam Special from the starters – they were outstanding. The curries, rice varieties, and parotta were all delectable, although the mango lassi was a bit of a letdown. The staff were incredibly friendly and, despite a delay in service due to unforeseen circumstances, they ensured we had a pleasant experience. Given the location, the restaurant offers excellent value for money with its impressive fare.

My husband and I recently dined at your restaurant, and we wanted to share our positive feedback. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the complimentary soup was a delicious start to our meal. We enjoyed the pre-starters immensely. For our starters, we ordered the Chicken Pepper. The spice level was perfect, and the overall flavor was good. However, a suggestion for improvement: if the onions were finely chopped and incorporated into the masala instead of being cooked as thin slices, it would allow the chicken to be the star of the dish. The texture of the larger onion slices slightly overpowered the chicken for our taste. Moving on to the main course, everything was fantastic! The Masala Dosa, Set Dosa, Onion Dosa, and the chicken dish were all cooked to perfection. The wait staff was exceptional as well. They were attentive without being intrusive and ensured we had a comfortable experience. We'll happily recommend your restaurant to others! We would just like to request that you consider the suggestion for the Chicken Pepper on our next visit. Aside from that, everything was absolutely wonderful. Thank you for a 5/5 star experience!
